So many of our oils are loved by different people. Essential oils really are unique, and depending on what you want to heal, you might have a favourite thatโs not on this list!
But generally speaking, our most popular oils are ones that provide benefits both physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Lavender oil is one of the most well-known and beloved essential oils and is renowned for its calming and relaxing properties. It's often used to promote better sleep, reduce stress and anxiety, and even alleviate mild pain and inflammation.
Peppermint oil blends are another popular option as peppermint is known for its invigorating and refreshing qualities. Extracted from the peppermint plant, this oil is often used to boost energy, improve mental focus, and alleviate digestive issues.
Tea tree oil is also much loved for its antibacterial, antifungal, and antiseptic properties. Mixed with other oils, it can create a healing and calming mix that suits a variety of purposes.
These are just a few examples of the diverse range of essential oils available. Other popular options include certified organic citrus oils like lemon and orange for their uplifting and mood-boosting effects, eucalyptus oil for its decongestant and respiratory-supporting properties, and frankincense oil for its calming and grounding influence.
Regardless of your specific needs or preferences, there's an essential oil out there that can help you achieve your desired results.

Pure vs Certified Organic Essential Oils
Pure essential oils are extracted directly from the plant material, such as leaves, flowers, or fruits, through methods like steam distillation or cold-pressing. These oils are free from any synthetic additives or chemicals, making them a natural and potent choice. Pure essential oils are typically more concentrated and offer a more intense aroma and therapeutic benefits compared to their synthetic counterparts.
On the other hand, certified organic essential oils take the purity a step further. They are derived from plants that have been grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilisers. This makes them more sustainable and ensures the final product is free from harmful chemicals and toxins. Since weโre all about improving health and well-being, we predominantly use this gold standard in essential oil as organic options not only offer purity but also support sustainable and ethical sourcing.
Look for the "pure" or "certified organic" label to ensure you're getting the highest quality and most effective products. While pure essential oils are an excellent choice, certified organic oils can provide an extra layer of assurance and environmental consciousness.
Essential Oil Extraction Methods
Essential Oils go through different extraction methods, and each method has its own unique process. Additionally, different extraction processes are used depending on the plant or fruit. For example, citrus oils are generally cold-pressed, whereas something like Frankincense is created by steaming the resin produced from the sap of the tree.
The most common extraction methods include:
Steam Distillation is the most popular method. It works by the steam vaporising the plant materialโs compounds, which then go through a condensation and collection journey. The steam distillation method is known for creating 100% pure quality essential oils and does not require any solvents or chemicals making it one of the more safer methods of extraction.
Cold Pressed is another extraction method that does not use chemicals. This method works by assembling raw materials such as flowers, seeds, and herbs into smaller pieces to break down the materials to release the oil making it easier to extract. However, cold-pressed extraction comes with some limitations as it needs a large amount of plant material to produce a small amount of essential oil, making it unsuitable for all types of plants. Although the cold-pressed method results in essential oils having a shorter shelf life, it is better in quality compared to the other methods.
The solvent extraction method works by covering the raw materials in a food-grade solvent and dissolving them into it. After the solvent has soaked up the essential oil, the extract is evaporated leaving the plant oil. This is technically not known as an essential oil but is called an absolute meaning a more concentrated substance. In this method, small quantities of harsh chemicals may be left in the final absolute. As certified organic substances cannot include chemicals, this method is not used to create certified organic essential oils.
Pressurised CO2 extracts essential oils from plants. When CO2 is pushed through the plant material, it helps break down the plantโs cells, releasing the essential oils. Oils made using CO2 extraction use lower temperatures which preserves natural properties resulting in potentially higher-quality oils since the heat doesn't alter any of their components.
