About Us - When I turned 50, I felt like life was just getting started.

I founded Lively Living in 2013, when I was 50 years old.

By then, I had lived enough life to know what mattered — and what didn’t.

Breathing challenges had been part of my family life for many years. I had seen first hand how ongoing respiratory issues could affect sleep, energy, and overall quality of life across generations.

It shaped how I thought about wellbeing, and why creating calmer, more supportive home environments mattered so deeply to me

At the time, I was searching for products that genuinely supported breathing and wellbeing. It seemed most options available felt outdated and poorly suited to everyday home use — relying on heat, creating excess moisture, and offering little confidence in how they were made or used.

I wasn’t looking to start a business.

I was looking for something I could truly trust.

Discovering a Technology Australia Hadn't Seen Yet

During that search, I came across a term I hadn’t seen before, " ultrasonic diffusers".

At the time, cool mist ultrasonic diffuser technology was virtually unknown in Australia. They weren’t widely available. They weren’t talked about. Most people , myself included — had never heard of them.

Curiosity led me straight to Ultransmit, the company who invented ultrasonic diffuser technology.

There were no distributors. No websites to purchase one. Just the original creators of the technology itself.

To place an order, there was one condition: a minimum order of 2,000 units of a single style.

I said yes.

Going Straight to the Source

Those first diffusers filled my spare bedroom from wall to wall. I remember standing there, surrounded by boxes, feeling excited, slightly overwhelmed, yet completely certain I was on the right path.

Later that year, I travelled to China to meet the Ultransmit team and visit their factory and visit their stand at the Canton Fair. Seeing the engineering, testing and care behind the technology confirmed what I already believed — that ultrasonic diffusion, done properly, could transform how people experience aromatherapy at home.

That visit marked the beginning of a long-standing relationship built on trust and mutual respect. ( This photo is on my second trip to visit Ultransmit to attend a special celebration for their business.

Our mission is to help Australian households improve their sleep, breathing and everyday wellbeing through thoughtfully designed ultrasonic technology and certified organic essential oils — created with care, integrity and trust.

When Lively Living Took off

Not long after, Ultransmit released a new, larger diffuser style — the design I named the Aroma-Bloom.

It resonated almost immediately. People were drawn to its thoughtful design and the way it allowed essential oils to be gently dispersed into the air, rather than burned or overpowering the space.

For many, it was their first experience of aromatherapy that felt calm, refined, and effortless, and one that could quietly run through the night without disruption

Customers began sharing how it supported mood, breathing, sleep, and overall wellbeing. Word spread naturally. Retailers took notice, and baby stores embraced the Aroma-Bloom as a considered alternative to traditional heated vaporisers.

Lively Living grew because people could genuinely feel the difference — and because both adults and children were breathing easier at home.

Get Started With Organic Essential Oils

Supporting Sleep In Family Homes

As families began using our diffusers and essential oils at home, sleep naturally became part of the conversation — particularly for parents of babies and young children.

That insight led to the creation of Aroma-Snooze, our sleep aid range designed to support calm, comfortable sleep environments for little ones.

It was built on the same principles Lively Living was founded on: safety, simplicity and trust.

Being welcomed into nurseries and family bedrooms is something I’ve never taken lightly. Supporting families at such a tender stage of life continues to guide how carefully we approach every product we create.

Doing Things Properly from the Beginning

From the very beginning, I made a few non-negotiable decisions.

One was a commitment to certified organic essential oils — not because it sounds good, but because it removes grey areas. Certification ensures traceability, accountability, and integrity from source to bottle.

Another was to work closely with Ultransmit to ensure every diffuser met high standards for safety, performance, and longevity. We shared the same values. Neither of us wanted products that were simply attractive — I wanted technology that worked quietly, reliably, and safely, every day.

Over the years, Ultransmit’s teams have visited Australia and stayed in my home, working closely with me as the brand grew. This has never been a transactional partnership, but a shared commitment to doing things properly.

Over time, Lively Living has become a trusted part of many Australian homes.

From ultrasonic diffusers, baby humidifiers and certified organic essential oils to family-focused sleep and breathing solutions, our products are designed to support everyday wellbeing — calmly, safely, and thoughtfully.

In 2025, I was approached about selling Lively Living. It was a significant opportunity, and one that prompted deep reflection. As I sat with the decision, clarity emerged — my work with this brand wasn’t complete.
