What is an ultrasonic diffuser?

An ultrasonic diffuser uses water and ultrasonic vibration to create a fine, cool mist that disperses essential oils into the air. It does not use heat, which makes it a popular option for everyday aromatherapy at home.

How is an ultrasonic diffuser different from a waterless diffuser?

An ultrasonic diffuser uses water and essential oils to create a soft mist. A waterless diffuser disperses essential oils without water and usually provides a more direct aroma experience. Ultrasonic diffusers are often preferred for bedrooms, living rooms, nurseries, and daily home use, while waterless diffusers may suit customers who want a stronger aroma with less water-tank maintenance.

Are ultrasonic diffusers good for bedrooms?

Yes, ultrasonic diffusers are commonly used in bedrooms because they are quiet, easy to use, and create a gentle cool mist. Many customers use them as part of an evening routine with calming essential oils or sleep-focused blends.

What size ultrasonic diffuser should I choose?

The right size depends on your room and how long you want the diffuser to run. Smaller models may suit bedrooms, desks, or nurseries, while larger-capacity models may be better for living rooms or longer use. Consider water tank size, run time, mist output, and ease of cleaning before choosing.

Can I use any essential oil in an ultrasonic diffuser?

Use essential oils that are suitable for diffusion and follow the instructions for your diffuser model. Lively Living’s certified organic essential oils can be paired with suitable ultrasonic diffusers for everyday aromatherapy.

How often should I clean an ultrasonic diffuser?

It is best to empty and wipe your ultrasonic diffuser regularly, especially if you use it often or change essential oils frequently. Keeping the water tank clean helps maintain mist performance and prevents oil residue from building up.

It is great, but requires much more oil than advertised. Id recommend adding 2/3 drops of oil every 3 hours. At the end of 5/10 hours of slow use there is no oil left to diffuse!
